Artist statement, Emotional landscapes.
My current landscape series captures a deep emotional response to time, erosion, seasons and prose. With strong use of colour and emphasis on surface textures I aim to evoke dramatic seascapes, landscapes and sunsets similar to the Expressionists. I have often experiences my surrounding landscapes as an orchestral concert for the eyes. Each piece tells its own story and often takes the viewer on a nostalgic journey where ones senses and dreams cohere.
