Soft Slab handbuilding and Paperclay techniques by Lesley McInally

Paperclay is a fascinating clay body which has an addition of paper pulp. There are many unique qualities to this particular type of clay and what can be achieved using it.

Lesley will demonstrate some of these qualities through her stretched soft slab methods. These include:

Texturing, stretching, cutting and altering the slab and repeating this process whilst the clay remains soft (thus no slip is required for joining). This is a truly wonderful technique Lesley has developed whilst exploring the possibilities of paper clay.
